Software Engineer

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to enhance our product development team. We need someone with a commitment to building world-class applications. You will be responsible for:

  • Designing solutions to meet business requirements for diverse tasks like: search, eCommerce transactions, social integration, personalization, creating and enhancing API
  • Implementation of both front-end web and back-end systems
  • Delivering high-quality software on time
  • Adhering to development and unit testing standards
  • Exhibiting an enthusiastic, confident attitude, as well as a strong commitment to teamwork

Required:

  • 3+ years experience in software engineering
  • Understanding of software design patterns and principals, especially MVC and OOP
  • Experience with MySQL and writing complex queries
  • Professional experience with PHP, and significant experience building dynamic software in at least one web language (Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.)
  • Excellent JavaScript, AJAX and jQuery skills
  • Excellent CSS skills
  • Experience with automated unit testing
  • Experience with source control best practices and Git
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Proven ability in communicating complex technical topics to a variety of audiences
  • Highly motivated and driven, with a commitment to excellence
  • Strong commitment to both personal responsibility and teamwork

Preferred:

  • Degree in engineering or computer science
  • Experience implementing eCommerce applications
  • Experience working with Facebook Graph API
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and SOLR
  • Experience with iOS and/or Android development
  • Experience with cloud-based hosting solutions, especially AWS or Rackspace
  • Working knowledge of Linux server administration and Apache web server
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum techniques
  • Experience with the following technologies and frameworks: LESS, Bootstrap from Twitter, CodeIgniter, Backbone.js and Underscore.js, Mustache
